What's This?

Even though I haven't posted any pictures of my stitching, I have been busy, busy, busy :o) I'm going to be bad and show you the progress picture but I'm not going to tell you what pattern it is. HA!

Kind of makes you go hmmmm....huh? What the heck is it? Let me just say, I got the inspiration one day while I was walking the beach. That's the only hint you're going to get for now ;o)

I do have one question though; this piece is 124W x 86H so would you consider it a medium or small piece? I'm thinking it would fall into the small category but I'd like your opinion.

I think I had mentioned that I had another pillow that I wanted to put together and it's finally done! This is Peace Love & A Cure by LK -

I was able to track down the same fabric that she had on her model and I love it! It's so delicate and pretty :o) The only thing I'm second guessing is the overall size of the pillow. This one is 16 x 16 but I'm wondering if I should have stayed with a 14 x 14. Here's the pillow sitting on top of my quilt rack that holds the pink ribbon quilt that my mom did for me -

I am just SO excited because last night I found out that I won Karen's giveaway!!!! Eeeeeeeee!!!! What a great (early) birthday present ;o) LOL! Thank you SO much Karen. I can't wait to receive it!

I can see the sea grass ~ dunes, maybe a dog? Love the pillow. I think it looks fine but it would be easy enough to cut down if you wanted to do that. Better too big than too small!

Congrats on winning Karen's giveaway!

Love the pillow Cathey, I'm part way through stitching it at the moment.

I haven't a clue what you're stitching but it's really reminded me of one of my favourite stories. Anne of Green Gables The Sequel with Megan Follows. I believe right at the start she is laying in the sea grass having just been writing & all of her pages start blowing away.... :-)

Sandpipers or herons?

The LK finish is very pretty.

The pillow looks pretty as is. The fabric is so nice that I like to see it on a wider border.

I consider the new piece large compared to the kinds of things I stitch. Bug for some of those quick-fingered stitchers, that's just a mini!

Love the pillow and the fabric is so pretty ~ well done, Cathey!

Great pillow ! If you had wanted to display it in a basket, then it's too big, but on the shelf it's perfect. You are such a tease,I have no idea what your new start is :)

I thought that was you who won! Congrats!

My guess about your current project - sea grass, sand, and a piper.

I thought it would be a small/medium sized piece. It would be around 8"x6" - yes?

And your pillow is great! My town is hosting a "Relay for Life" next weekend.

Interesting....can't wait to see what your WIP is. And I love the LK pillow with that fabric. It is so cute.

Hopefully it won't take too long to receive the package!

I'm guessing that is some sort of sea bird in the dune grasses? Very pretty start...

For me, that size would be a medium finish (but a small medium) 'cause the only things I consider smalls are ornament size or smaller...

Congratulations on your win from Karen--lucky you :)

Your little "cure" pillow is so pretty, Cathey, as is your mom's special quilt!

My first thought was sea gull on the beach. I love your pillow. Great job on it.

I think your pillow looks great!

I don't have any good guesses for what your project is. I would categorize anything bigger than a fob or biscornu as a medium project. On the other hand, even something like that could take me months to finish LOL :)

Wow! You've been busy and I love it all. I can't tell what this new project is but I can tell these are dainty stitches. And that I would call it a medium sized project.
And your photos, they're so beautiful and make me dream.
Hugs, fav Pumpkin!
