Finishes Seven & Eight For 2012

Continuing on with my finishes from last year, here are two more to share with you :o)

Finish seven is called Flower Motif Pin Kit by La-D-Da -

I received this kit in a grab bag that I ordered from Stitches N Things. It came with everything so that's what I used; 35 count linen and Dinky Dyes silk. I'm not crazy about it. If I remember correctly, I just wanted something quick to do. LOL! If anyone is interested in the pattern, I'll be more than happy to pass it along. Just let me know in your comment (please include a way to get a hold of you) and if there is more than one person that wants it, I'll put the names in a hat :o)

Finish eight is a favorite of mine and one I've had on my To Do List for y-e-a-r-s! It's by The Cricket Collection and it's called Shepherd Bunny -

Now you understand why ;o) This little girl (at least I think she is) was stitched on 28 count Mint Green linen with the suggested threads. The camera really didn't take a great picture; the color of the fabric is a bit off.

Again, thank you for all your great comments! I'm only halfway through my 2012 Finishes list so there's more to come :o)

Fourteenth Finish For 2010

This was 'supposed' to be 'Tis Green but I think it's ended up being 'Tis Blue/or/Grey ;o) The design is by La-D-Da and is featured in the current JCS Christmas Ornament Preview Issue -

I left you hanging because I knew it wouldn't take long to finish this one. LOL!

And...TA-DA! Fini as well!

As I indicated earlier in my Blog, it was the fabric that inspired this ornament. The ornament is resting on the backing fabric that I used. Unusual colour isn't it? But oh so pretty :o) It took awhile but I finally settled on Liberty by GAST. I wish it had been a more variegated colour though but I'm still happy with the final result.

This means I have stitched eleven out of the twelve ornament sized pieces for 2010! Only one more to go :o) I figured that since I'm SO close, I might as well stitch the last one. It wasn't hard to choose the one I wanted to stitch either (it's got bunnies in it!). The design is by the talented Danybrod so keep your eyes peeled for another finish soon :o)

Eleventh Finish For 2008

I know, I know, I'm a little late with this one :oS I think I've teased you long enough so here is La-D-Da's Alphabet With Hare sampler -

I believe it was Debbie who had the first correct answer :o)

To be honest, this finish has been giving me fits for over a month. My original idea was to stitch the rabbit a different colour, namely brown, and I did. But the only brown silk I had that would go was too close to the colour of the fabric so I had to rip it out :o( So, I started stitching him with the Poison Apple silk and didn't Mr. Frog come to visit. Grrrr! I have come to the conclusion that when the frog comes a knockin', that's an indication that I put my stitching down and come back to it at a later time. Maybe I'm getting smarter in my older age ;o)
