...you may or may not know ;o)
The average hen will lay 227 eggs a year.
The blood of a snowshoe crab is blue.
Chickens that lay brown eggs have red earlobes. There is a genetic link between the two.
The placement of a donkey's eyes in its head enables it to see all four feet at all times.
A Holstein's spots are like fingerprints. No two cows have the same pattern of spots.
Turtles can breathe through their butts.
Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes.
It's possible to lead a cow upstairs but not downstairs.
A polar bears fur is transparent in colour.
A duck's quack doesn't echo and no one knows why :o)

Cool facts!! ;0)
Did you know that a group of frogs is called an ‘army’.
(A group of toads is called a ‘knot’.)
LOL
If turtles breathe through their butts... do they know they have bad breath??... and can they use a tic-tac? ;o)
hmmm I think Fergus breathes through his butt
You are too funny. I feel so much smarter now that I've visited your blog today.
Great facts. Don't go spending too much in the store! And well done on the progress of your bathroom. It'll soon be finished at that rate.
cool! I learned about the snowshoe crab just the other day on tv :)
and I knew about the cow prints and the cow going up and down, okay why do I know so much about cows?
lol love your lol duck.
And did you know that Slugs have 4 noses! I so love reading your blog, whether it be about stitching or not, you do keep us smiling !
Very neat facts. I didn't know any of them! Very interesting.
Totally random, but very interesting!! I can always count on you, Cathey! :)
Those are really neat! Where in the world do you find these things?-LOL
Talk about learning something new everyday...LOL!
They say that the first duck in the V flyng form changes every so often. The reason is that not one particular duck can memorize the whole route. With me getting lost in my own backyard, I wouldn't even qualify to come to the front at all.
Knew some of your facts but I did learn about others - never too old to learn. Good job on those facts!
{{{Hugs to you and Brie}}}
No wonder donkeys can see all their feet. They need them to kill people.
Ninja longears.
Hi Cathey,
Love these little factoids!!
Mother Nature's creatures are
a diverse and eccentric bunch
at times.
Did you ever see the green polar
bears that live in the Singapore
Zoo?? Algae was growing in the
hair shafts of the bear's coats
and they went from white to
green. Really! Staff at the
zoo have bleached the bears
fur to get them to turn white
again.
Your contractors have done a
marvelous job on the Needle
work shop. It looks spectacular!
I want to stitch this one, and
the Tea Shop too, and have them
both in my stash.
Oh, and the gang working on your
bathroom have done a great job
so far, and made significant
progress. It'll look great when
its done I'm sure.
What an amazing Fairy Godmother
you have Cathey. To think of
you and get you all those
wonderful Eagles mementos was
an incredibly generous and
caring thing to do. Lori-Ann
is an amazing lady indeed.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Cheers!!
Cool facts...I knew some of these, but a couple were new.
Here's another...there is a type of grain toxin that when a chicken ingests it, it will turn the egg whites pink and the egg yolk green. Imagine cracking open one of THOSE eggs!
Nice progress on the shop!!!
I'll pop up to Lori-Ann's blog now. I don't think I've read her blog before but the tic tac comment sure made me want to visit! LOL!!!
Hugs!
Lili
