Where Have I Been?

Oye! It's Thursday already! I have no idea where this week has gone.

Don't worry folks, I'm still among the living although I feel like crawling under the covers and dying a slow death :o( Thanks to DH (yes, I'm going to blame him), I caught the nasty cold that has been going around. Luckily it's not as bad but combine it with a visit from Aunt Flo; I'd say it's on the same level. I'm going to play it to the max anyway ;o)

Now that the holidays are over with, I'm trying to get my life back into some kind of 'normal' routine. Easier said than done! On Tuesday, I started my acupuncture again. I missed about three weeks and it wasn't hard to tell that my anxiety level was sky high. What a difference this makes in my life. Hopefully this will help me settle down so that I can get some stitching done. I should have a finish to show you soon!

Yesterday I started something new :o) Thanks to my friend K (yes, I'm going to blame her), I am now enrolled in a low impact aerobics class until the end of March!

It's only once a week (TG!) but I hope by the end of it, I'll have a little less around the middle and a little more on my backside. LOL! The instructor wanted to know what kind of exercise experience I had and this is what I explained to him -

Apparently lifting the television remote isn't considered exercise. Huh!

It is quite apparent though that I do NOT possess any form of coordination WHATSOEVER. If my legs are doing one thing, my arms can't do something else at the same time ;o) Talk about embarrassing! At least there was one other woman with the same problem so I didn't feel quite that left out.

We got hit with a snow storm last night but it didn't amount to much. Today it's like a spring day! The sun is out, the temperature is mild and what snow we got is already melting :o) Yay! I know not everyone got off as easy as we did. But as DH says...we live in the 'banana belt'. I love our little piece of paradise!

Feel better. That chest cold stuff is going around here too. My hubs has it and I hope I'm not next!

Hope you start feeling better shortly. Being sick is no fun!

Go to a few more classes and you'll feel more coordinated. Practice makes perfect and it can take a little time to get your muscles trained, but you'll get there!

Love your photo of the kitty doing aerobic clicking!

hope you feel better soon! I've been down with the same thing for the last 2 days..feel like I've been hit by a bus!
The exercise class sounds like fun. Like you I don't have a lot of coordination tho..I'd love to try zumba but I'm sure I would hurt someone...other then myself! :)

So sorry you aren't feeling well!
Was wondering how much snow your area got...we got a lot, but schools are open, so that says something.

Hey, isn't picking up a needle exercising?????? LOL

Take care

Banana belt? Is this NS's tropical paradise?

I'm sorry - I don't agree - the tv remote can be pretty heavy at times. I suppose lifting cookies to your mouth doesn't count either? Geez!

Take care and get well!

Pumpkin, how could you? You know I'm anti-smiling at the moment due to a large gap in my lower mouth and then you can post pics like that!!!!!
Good luck with the exercise routine, it doesn't always show immediately but by goodness when it does it feels good and so worth all the hassle.
My happy dances so far come in at as big fat zero so please don't rush to stitch and we can be slow-starters together.
Take care

I hope you feel better soon, gf! Good luck with the exercise class and don't worry, you'll get everything moving in the direction it should eventually!

Be well.

Oh, you are brave to join an exercise class. I think I'm uncoordinated like you and I know I would embarrass myself.

Sorry you aren't feeling well. Get better soon.

I'm right there with you and your cold, Cathey--ugh! And I'd challenge you to a most-uncoordinated exerciser contest any day. I'm so bad that I stick strictly to my treadmill and little weights. My sister used to just howl at me when I tried to follow an exercise tape!

Hope you feel better soon :)

Oh I hope you feel better soon. It is awful when you feel you have missed almost a whole week.

I am so sorry you are sick - but you are hysterical - Where did you get the cute remote control kitty photo - roflol

Feel better soon
(Once your cold is over - your muscles - you know - the ones you didn't know you had until you started aerobics - should start aching !!!
Hang in there-;)

Really, lifting the TV remote is not exercise. Sure they got that one wrong, absolutely positive actually.

It it easy after being sick...folks around here are finding they aren't quite as strong as they thought and having a rebound bout of whatever this cold/flu is...stay warm!

While you may not be feeling too flash at least you still have your sense of humour!! ;-) Thank you for the smile!

No co-ordination is my excuse for not doing aerobics classes! But seriously what do you mean that lifting the remote is not exercise! Does that mean that combining stitching and watching telly isn't multi-tasking exercise?!

Good luck with the classes....

Take care, hope you feel better soon
