Hey Chippy!

A chipmunk I am, I am.
With a big bulging cheek,
no thanks to the dental man.

A chipmunk I am, I am.
A pouch where things can hide,
Perhaps my new stash can?

Hi everyone, I'm back! I thought I would let you know how my dental surgery went. To be perfectly honest, it wasn't that bad! Yes, those words just escaped from my thoughts ;o)

Yesterday morning I was to place two pills under my tongue at 7am. The pharmacist 'assured' me that they would calm me down. By the time we got to the dentist office at 8am, I wasn't any calmer. When 9am rolled around and I still couldn't feel any affects, I really started to get worried :oS

Then the next thing I knew I was in 'the chair'. As soon as Dr. B came in, I immediately told him that I didn't even know what the needle looked like and I didn't want to. I didn't even want a peek of it. My next worry was the blood and I was told everything would be alright.

All I can say is Dr. B is an angel! He was awesome with the needle (I had three with a fourth one right before the surgery) and it didn't feel like he was trying to push in a huge nail instead of a fine wire. After that was over with, it was smooth sailing! The cause of the problem? There was a second root there that was overlooked >:o(

I do have a swollen cheek but really it's not that bad. I can feel where the stitches are. Apparently Dr. B put Super Glue over them. I was a little nervous he was going to glue my cheek to my teeth though ;o) LOL! Now I have to wait two weeks until I can get the stitches out as they won't dissolve by themselves.

So, was it as bad as I thought it would be? Honestly, no. I'm actually quite proud of myself and beyond ecstatic that it's finally over with :o) I can't say that I'm overly thrilled with eating Kraft dinner although Faith Ann came to the rescue tonight with some popsicles. LOL! Thank you for all the well wishes!

So pleased that your dental work was not as bad as you expected. The comparison of your face to that of that sweet chippy was cute. The only difference is he can eat peanuts etc., and you can only have ice cream, jello and puddings - that is tough!!! Hope to be able to meet up tomorrow.
