Run! Run! Run as fast as you can! You can't catch me because I'm the Gingerbread Man :o) LOL!
The mojo must have gone into high gear yesterday because I completed Gingerbread Tree by LHN right before 11pm last night -
Again, I'm very pleased with this finish and the changes that I made. I decided against changing the DMC 221, so in the end I only made two colour changes.
Do you realize that there are TWENTY-FOUR French Knots in this teeny tiny pattern? Ugh! What scared me more was the thought that I had made a huge mistake and would have to frog the gingerbread men on the outside! Thankfully this wasn't the case. If you are going to stitch this pattern, note the extra DMC 221 stitch under the arms of the gingerbread men holding the candy canes. Maybe I'm the only one that didn't notice this ;o) Luck was on my side though because those spots were empty so I just had to go in and fill in that one stitch. Whew! That saved a lot of cursing and swearing you know ;o)
I can see this being finished as an ornament or pinkeep. Nothing extravagant. I'll probably use the same gingerbread fabric that I used for my cube.
What am I going to stitch next? Ohhhh...I have it already kitted up :o) I even have the backing fabric! Actually, this fabric is what shaped the ornament. I'll leave it at that and make you sweat it out for a few days :oP

you are amazingly quick on the draw my friend. Kudo's to you.
Be always in stitches...but I guess you are...
excellent job and done very quickly. 24 french knots , I hate them.
It's a lovely finish! I hadn't decided if I wanted to stitch this, but your finish has convinced me, it's SO lovely in person. :)
Well slow down girlfriend lol...as for the french knots...all I can think of is BEADS lol. Looks great...love it.- Tina
You just love to leave cliff hangers don't you
Your gingerbread ornament looks great
P.S. If you don't hear from me for awhile it's because I can't seem to get the word verification letters right when I post comments - Does anyone else have this problem -lol
Congratulations on the finish! Love the title and intro to your post...lol! Your stitching, as always is beautiful and this is no exception! Can't wait to see how you finish it off :)
Take care!
I just love quickies, lol
You are fast.
Gingerbread Tree is awesome.
oh wow! word verification is ginger
how funny is that?!
Very cute!! Colonial knots are my knot of choice. They behave so much better for me! I can't wait to see your backing fabric. :)
Super cute. French knots have been the bane of my stitching existence forever. Mine are either so big they look like chocolate chips or so small the disappear almost completely!
Great finish ! I have this one stitched but can't do french knots so it's waiting for some beads.
Lookin' great! I used to hate french knots, but I found a tutorial online somewhere years ago and that helped me tremendously.
If it wasn't so darn expensive, I'd ask you to ship me some of your mojo :)
I do believe that gingerbread man up top wants to kill me. *scared*
So cute!
Your needles are smoking.
Great Finish!! Cute,Cute Design.
How are you going to finish it, is it a ornament?

It's cute! You're terribly terribly early for Christmas!
I will admit that I find the Gingerbread Man the cuter of the two!
I love your gbread ornament and the cube that you put together in the previous post looks great right down to the ribbon . Merry Christmas in July from Ontario!
Great finish...lucky number 13! Can't wait to see it "finished".
