A Little Piece Of Paradise

We're into the countdown zone now! In approximately three and a half weeks, DH and I will be packing up the car and moving to Nova Scotia :o) No more living on my own and no more bachelorette pad. Woohoo!

Recently, I've been looking for a place for us to live. I tried working with a realtor but as usual, she didn't listen to a word of what I said. Within a period of two months, I was shown pictures of ONE apartment and it was a DIVE. So, I took it upon myself to do the leg work and I have to say, that I'm quite proud of 'my' results! What do you think of my little piece of paradise -

This will be the view that we get to wake up to every day :o) Pretty sweet huh?

For privacy purposes, I'm not going to post pictures of the actual house. We'll be renting it until June and then hopefully, we'll have found a house to buy. I've got a list of ones that I want to look at but we'll start working on that when we get down there.

I don't know if anyone has noticed my countdown ticker above, but I'm down to 10 days before I fly out to attend DH's graduation in Regina, Saskatchewan. A HUGE thanks goes out to my parents for buying me the plane ticket :o) I'll be staying for two nights and then DH and I get to fly back home together. I'm SO excited and I can't wait to see DH all dressed up in his uniform. Growl!

I want to thank everyone so much for their comments of concern. My arm is getting better, with my elbow sporting a lovely shade of purple and army green. LOL! I don't think anything is broken but I'll still go for my x-ray on Tuesday morning. I'd say I'm okay since I've been able to put in some stitches on SS this weekend :o) There may be some hope after all! You'll all just have to wait and see...

WOW I wouldn't mind waking up to that view daily. I think it would be very relaxing. Glad to hear your elbow is better, good luck with the x-rays.

That is awesome news! It looks like you will have an incredible view. I have never had much luck with dealing with realtors, either. It should be good to have a base camp closer to where you are house hunting.

I'm glad that you are feeling better :)

Cathey, that's an amazing view! I can't let my dh see it, he always wanted to live near the water when we lived in NS. You must be bursting with excitement!

Looks like a perfect place for a beach bum. In good weather, you can sit outside and stitch.

Hope your arm continues to improve.

That view is incredible.

When I was a child my parents would drive from Ontario to NB about every 3-5 years. My mom's cousin and his family lived down there. I loved it, but would dread every drive home b/c my mom would say, "I wish we were driving to Ontario to visit and not live". Well, the 11 y.o. in me had a panic attack at the thought of moving. Now.... not so much.

I guess, looking back things work how they do and I'm glad for that b/c now my life is shared with my very own Easterner - all newfie born and bred, so if I'd lived down East my chances of meeting Cute Boy would have vanished.

Have fun with DH at his graduation. Looking forward to some pics. I too, love the uniform, as much as Cute Boy thinks I'm crazy. I even get all 'grrrrr' when I'm folding them in the laundry pile. ;)

The worse part is done...
I'm so happy things are turning OK
I did break one toe the other night... You know, I stole DH's Ipod and started running and my foot violently met the wall...
I love the sight! I would never want to leave the place... My...
Hugs, Sweetie!
