Sixth Finish For 2011

Despite feeling like crap, I managed to complete another project. Here is Charmed Flake: Survivor/Hope by Hinzeit -

Photobucket

I just love her, even with the pink nose ;o) LOL! She's so cute! The colours are rich and warm and the charms just add a touch of sparkle -

Photobucket

The only thing I worry about is that the word 'Hope' doesn't show up that well. Maybe it's not supposed to?

Photobucket

I do have one idea on how I'm going to finish her but I'm not going to do anything until I can find another item first. How's that for suspense ;o)

At least I still have my sense of humour even though I feel like s-h-i-t :o( Actually, I think shit would probably feel better! It started about a week and a half ago with slight body pain. Then last week it gradually got worse but I was doing some cleaning so I attributed the pain to that.

But then on Thursday a migraine came on so suddenly and my body pain sky rocketed. It got so bad that I dug out an old prescription of Tylenol 3 with Codeine and called the doctor. I don't see him until Friday though :o( I was popping the Tylenol like candy and it was barely touching my agony. Thankfully the body pain has let up but the migraine has not.

I've been limiting my time on the computer and therefore I am behind on my Blog reading and emails. Please bear with me! Hopefully I'll be back to being a regular pumpkin soon ;o)

Love the snowman, and how the word Hope looks. HOPE you're feeling better soon. My dad had this kind of all over body cold that is going on 4 weeks now. Hope it's not that. How's that for brightening your day. Sorry.

I can't believe you have to wait until Friday for the doctor to see you when you are in such pain. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way - do let us know what you find out. I love your snowman and I like the way the "hope" is subtle but yet there. (does that even make sense? LOL) Now you have me curious as to how you will finish it. :o)

Dear Cathey,

I'm so sorry to hear that you're
feeling crappy right now and in
a lot of pain. My Mom use to
suffer from chronic back pain
(2 major surgeries, rheumatoid
and osteoarthritis, degenerative
discs etc) so I can appreciate
the level of pain you must be
feeling. Hang in there my dear
friend and hopefully the Doctor
will be able to do something
that the pain meds you've been
taking cannot.

I hope that maybe the bit of
stitching you've been doing
plus the words of support and
comfort from your blogging
friends will be of some help
as well in taking your mind
away (somewhat) from how you
are feeling.

In spite of how you are feeling
you still manage to create such
lovely magic with needle and
thread. Survivor/Hope is a
pretty little snowlady and she
looks so elegant with the charms
and her pretty pink scarf.

Take care Cathey. (Gentle Hugs!)

It's adorable! I love it. If you want the word 'Hope' to stand out more, maybe you can backstitch around it in a color just a shade or two darker? I think it looks fine the way it is, though. So sorry to hear about your pain. :( Hope you're feeling better soon!

I hope the headache goes away soon!

Your snowwoman is cute - an idea about Hope - maybe outline it in a beige or light brown nothing bold.

Take care -

So sorry you are in agony. :o(

Thanks for keeping in touch, despite my long absences from the internet.

I think your snow-girl looks just fine! A very creative spin on the ribbon for sure.

Isn't it great to have the sun out lately? (well, maybe not when you have a migraine) Get better real soon, Cathey.
