Fourth Finish For 2011

Since Saint Patrick's Day is not far off, I thought I would stitch something to celebrate the day. I've never stitched anything for it before but since I already had this kit, I figured I might as well make use of it and decrease my stash :o) This is Irish Luck by Just Another Button Company -

Photobucket

The pattern originally called for 32 count Sienna Natural linen but my kit already contained this 28 count green moulted linen. I have no idea what color it is and I've never seen it before so unfortunately I can't answer that question if you ask it. LOL!

I plan on making this into either a tuck pillow or pinkeep but I have no Saint Patrick's Day fabric in my stash! Hard to believe ;o) LOL! Knowing me, it will just go into my tote that holds all my finishes. Sigh!

Is there anyone else stitching something for Saint Patrick's Day?

DH just came home with the most wonderful package! I received my pin cushion from Patty, among other goodies -

I couldn't believe the weight of it! Is it stuffed with walnut shells? The rose pins and zipper pull are adorable :o) I love the little metal tags and the skein of floss (Valentine) by Nina is incredible! Thank you so much Patty! You put a smile in an otherwise dreary weekend ;o)

Super cute!!!
I'm not stitching anything for St. Patty's but I sure will be cooking up a big corned beef brisket as usual. YUM.
(I have, of course, made my fair share of glass Leprachauns and Pots O' Gold.)

I have a friend who is VERY proud of her Irish heritage. I made an ornament for her for St Patrick Day. I sent it, along with a box of St. P goodies to her in mid-Feb so she would be ready when March rolled around.

Now, I need to make one for myself . I really liked it AND it was free :0}

Love the St. Patrick's finish. I like the mystery green fabric, too. It's a really good color.

I love Tis Red, too. Lucky you. :)

Darling finish, Cathey! I've only stitched one St. Patrick's Day finish myself and three years later it is still sitting in the drawer waiting to be made into something. Don't let that happen to yours :)

Pretty pin pillow from Patty and Nina's threads really are wonderful, aren't they? Hope your dreary weekend improves...

What a lovely gift you received. I love your St. Patrick's finish, very cute. With all the cotton fabric stash I have I don't have any St. Patrick's fabric either.

Nice finish! I "should" stitch something for St Patrick's Day, but I have already so many things to stitch/sew/etc... and times flies so quickly! :P Hope I'll be able to stitch at leat a little something though...
