My Girl Wants To Party

Sabrina is getting the party itch ;o) She's starting to get more and more bling now -

With a dress like this, I know I'd want to show it off! LOL!

The front of her dress is officially completed so it's onto the middle section. I think I'm about 60% done. What do you think?

People have asked me why I'm beading as I go. To be honest, this is not my normal practice. I usually wait until I have my entire cross stitching done before I even think of beading. But I decided that since there were SO many beads on Sabrina, I would do them as I went along because I knew that if I waited until the end, she would never get finished.

I have a feeling that I will be changing to larger Q-Snaps in the near future ;o)

She's looking more beautiful with each update. Your stitching is so perfect! I think it's a great idea to bead as you go. It might be too over-whelming to leave it to the end.

I think you are getting lots done, especially with the beading. Maybe Sabrina will be ready for a New Year's party :)

Wow, great progress on Sabrina, her dress is gorgeous.
I like to bead large projects as I go for the same reason, couldn't cope with having to add them all at the end lol.

She just keeps getting prettier and prettier the older she gets--don't you wish real-life was like that?!

Amazing job on the beading, Cathey--I know I wouldn't have the patience for all those teeny black beads!

Those beads really make it pop! She is just gorgeous and you are making great progress. I finished Mermaid of the Pearls 3 years ago and still have beading left to do on it. I think beading as you go is a good idea with some of the Miras because at least you know it is going to get done.

Stunning!

I bead as i go, dont think i would have the patience to do it all at the end, it would end up an unbeaded UFO!

Well, sheDONK!! Sabrina looks fantastic. I think it's a great idea to bead as you go--it's like getting a sneak peek at the finish, because Mirabilia packs so much bling into a piece. Great progress!

She didn't get that dressed up just to stay in a stitching bag, LOL! She looks gorgeous.

Yes, I see your point. If beading is abundant and it is usually a chore, then best to bead as you go.

I like to back stitch as I go, for the same reasons.

She's looking so bead-azzling! (LOL... couldn't help the play on words) ;o)
