Good Things

I've been slowly working away at beading some more on Stargazer. I did move to the Petite beads and they aren't as bad as I had been anticipating. I just find that my eyes get tired fast using that invisible thread, so the going is slow. I am aiming for the end of June to have her complete :o)

Since I don't have much to show on Stargazer, I thought that I would finally share another WIP that has been jumping in from time to time. This is called Good Things and it's by Birds Of A Feather -

Photobucket

I love the nautical theme and DH will love it even more with the bare breasted mermaid ;o) LOL!

The title of this pattern and reading Berta's Blog, reminded me that there are moments when we should take a minute to list some good things in our lives. So, here are a few of mine :o)

A certain four-legged friend (Brie) that comes into the bedroom on the weekends to wake me up with a dance and lots of kisses.

Opening my email and seeing such wonderful and supportive comments from friends all over the world.

Walking around our property and finding new flowers tucked in amongst the grass.

Watching the swallows playing up in the sky.

Having the ability to capture the beauty of nature with my camera.

At the end of the day, having DH provide a warm chest and two big arms to wrap around me so I feel safe and loved :o)

Your stitching is lovely!

Nice post commenting on the good things in your life. Sometimes life just rushes by in a whirlwind and we don't always appreciate the good of it all!

Hugs.

What a beautiful post. That could be my list (with different names and a different chest...LOL)... A great reminder to stop and smell the roses... Thank you!

Great post, Cathey! The good things in our lives are always the simple things like birds, flowers, family, and friends. I think it's the chasing after material things that makes so many people miserable.

By the tone of your writing, it seems your mood is lightening. Good to hear.

The nautical WIP is looking cute, so far!

When I had to do a tonne of beading on "Adia"... I could see the invisible much better in sunlight. Too bad we haven't had much this month :o(

Looking very nice, love the colors and the design is so cute. Wonderful thoughts to, so often we do forget to be thankful for all that we have. It pays to stop and think sometimes, puts things into a better perspective.

Cute design, lol
I am stumped with the words and the color around it, my colors are almost the same, how about yours? I have to change mine, so the words pop.
Your good things sound so wonderful.
Nice package from karen.

Your good things sound great to me!

Congrats on sticking with the invisible thread. I usually give up way in the beginning. I admire your fortitude.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Cathey,

Your list of things that make you smile was a pleasure to read, and a reminder that we should all take a moment to remember the good stuff in our lives.

Your Good Things WIP is very nice, and I love those fish in pretty, bright colours, and the crab.

Hope you have a good week

Love your countdown....I'm assuming it's your birthday countdown?? Too funny! I have two days until my hatching anniversary. But back in those days it was dinosaurs being hatched...not chickens.

Cheers!
