Fourteenth Finish For 2011

Yup, I know, I've been neglecting my Blog as of late :o( To be honest, I've been trying to catch up on my Blog reading (almost done) and my emails (getting somewhere). When you combine the tiredness from the pregnancy with my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it really wipes me out sometimes and I just don't feel like doing anything. But...I do have a backlog of stitching to share with you! LOL!

I despised this pattern but wanted to finish it since it had already been started last year. This is Halloween Coins by Bent Creek -

Photobucket

Why did I not like this pattern? I have no idea. There was just 'something' about it. I was SO relieved when I put those last stitches in. Since it was a kit, I used the recommended fabric and floss.

Photobucket

I apologize for the pictures. It's been so hard to get great pictures lately. The second picture probably best represents the true colors of this piece.

I'm still chugging along and yes, I'm starting to show now, although it's not a very 'attractive' tummy. I showed DH last night and he laughed. Before the pregnancy I was almost at my ideal weight but still had some rolls ;o) Well now I have one big roll at the bottom, a crater where by bellybutton is and then another small roll on top. ROFL! One of my friends asked when I was going to take a picture and I told her there was no way in Hell that was going to happen anytime soon. Hopefully that bellybutton pops soon ;o)

I've also had to dig out Boobarella (my silicone insert). After I had my breast cancer surgery, I gained a lot of weight and opted to go with one of these to go 'on top' of my reconstructed boob. Well the girls definitely DON'T match anymore! Anyone see the movie Just Go For It when the woman comes in Adams Sandler's office with the bra she handmade from two different cup sizes? If Boobarella wasn't around, that's what I would be faced with ;o) ROFLMBO!!!!

All is well though and we're anxiously waiting for the next ultrasound on November 24! Boy or girl? What do you think?

Don't you just hate that when you don't really enjoy the stitching??? Looks great anyway!

Glad you are doing well....

That's a really cute finish. Hard to know why some of them are more fun to stitch than others for each of us. And often hard to tell in advance of starting a project!

You are so funny. I don't think I'd ever share those body part stories!

Cute finish, don't know why you did not like this one!

I realize you are extra tired but hang in there. I have a feeling it is going to be a grandson. Just a feeling.

It's a cute finish, even though you didn't like stitching it!

Love this pattern hun; I've never seen it before; and I believe it's a little girl; we always need young stitchers. lol

I like the stitching but I really do know what you mean about despising the stitching but not really knowing why. I have had that happen also. As for the little one, from the way you describe your weight gain, I would say it is a girl. But without a picture to see exactly how you are carrying, I can not say for sure. So, in a few weeks, we need pictures!!! And we all know that you are just gorgeous so get those thoughts out of your mind about your so called weird baby bump. Hope that your pregnancy doesn't cause the CFS to be worse. Take care!!

How I missed reading new post here!!! :D
Sweetie, relax, take your time, no one is going anywhere! eheheh Of course I love reading your comments and I loooove reading your emails :D but everyone understands, take your time and do things for fun, not because you "have to" ;) Time has been short here too, and I'm not even pregnant or have kids yet! hahaah ;)

There it is!!! The design that wasn't being quite fun to stitch, right? But now that it's done, it does look fun! :)

Boobarella?? Is that a pet??? hahahahahah :D
Boy or girl... hummm.. I'm guessing it's a girl! :)

Congrats on your finish you weren't too excited about finishing!! That's always hard to do with a piece you don't particularly enjoy. I think it's cute though!!

I'm guessing a boy...because it seems loads of boys are being born these days.

I like this little finish. Maybe it's the colors that put you off a little? It doesn't have the brighter palette of, say, the L*K Halloween patterns. It has more of a vintage, old timey color palette.

I'm sure the tiredness thing is a bummer but just think of it as training for the marathon of tiredness that is coming. As least you can do this sort of training while sitting down. lol

A lovely cute finish there Pumpkin :)

Cute finish! I've had ones like that before, that for some reason, once I start stitching, I just haven't enjoyed.

Boobarella made me chuckle! I hope the tiredness subsides soon for you!

Such a cute finish, Cathey--sorry you didn't enjoy the actual stitching of it...I've had that happen as well. Not sure just why I didn't enjoy it...

Aww...I read your mom's comment that she thinks it is going to be a boy. How sweet and how excited she must be to be a grandma!! Will you find out in the ultrasound or wait 'til the birth? I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for you, Cathey :)

Sweet finish. The ultrasound this time will be so wonderful for you to see.

Congrats on your finish. Been checking for an update on your blog, glad to hear that you're doing well. Sorry that you're tired... definitely remember how tiring pregnancy it was. If you find out the sex of the baby, will you be disclosing the info on here? Will be waiting....

Okay I confess I giggled at the "not matching" anymore. *hugs*
You're so cute.

I'm hoping... gee I dunno boy or girl. I don't think I could ever decide between them. Good thing mother nature does that for people I suppose.

I definitely understand about the blog reading catch up. Been trying to do that myself. Do take care of yourself. Cute finish, even though you don't like it anymore :)

Hugs,
Veronica.

What a cute finish! Love it!

Boobarella make me giggle!

You take it easy. If you're tired rest. Hopefully it'll pass before much longer.

Melanie said...

Cute finish, sorry that you didn't enjoy it all that much.
Made me giggle about 'Boobarella', make sure you get lots of rest and early nights.
As for my guess...boy!

Denise said...

It's a boy! I have a Chinese chart that has so far been 100% correct in every pregnancy.

Your finish looks fantastic but I can see why you weren't thrilled with it. I very well would have had problems with it.

I have seen that film the other night so had a giggle when you mentioned it. Good luck for the ultrasound, it is great to see your baby before it's born.
I will say girl!

Nice stitching!

I guess I'm crazy but I wondered about the bra thing. I'm sure something will work out because let me tell ya...the boobs do change, even after delivery!

I think you might have a boy. But if you have a girl, you be sure to teach her to stitch ;-)

I'm with you. There's no way in H... that I would share a pic of my belly when I was pregnant! We just weren't going there, lol!
I'll be looking forward to hearing your ultrasound report.
I know how you feel about not liking a certain stitch but I must say that yours turned out quite cute despite your dislike.
