Fifth Finish For 2011

Needles were flying and scissors were snipping! There was smoke coming out the ends of my fingers I tell you! It was crazy! In the end, this was the result -

LOL! Yes, Chilly by Stitchy Kitty is finally done :o) DH asked me last night why I was still working on him. He thought that maybe it was a hard design. Nope...just plain ol' procrastination.

Chilly's now holding snowflakes ;o)

I had a little fun and added a fringe to the bottom of his scarf. I thought that it needed something. I like it :o)

This was a fun SAL and if it weren't for Jenn, Chilly probably would have never gotten stitched this year. I'm really enjoying doing SALs with other stitchers because it motivates me. To see Jenn's finish, head on over to her Blog. Thanks for the fun Jenn :o)

  1. Looks great! I really like the fringe you added!

What other projects are you thinking of starting? If I have it in my stash, maybe you and I could do a SAL? I find it is the best motivation!

  5. Love the stitched & button snowflakes both! And what a great idea to add the fringe to the scarf. That's one of the great things about cross stitch... making it unique and our own!

  32. He looks so cute! Those bright pink cheeks!

On the other hand, I just realized that his name mixes upper and lower case letters and that bothers me...

  34. Hi Cathey,

Oh, where to begin?? So many
    wonderful things on your blog
    to talk about and admire.

I think I'll start off by
    gushing about Chilly. He is
so amazing! I love the colors
in his scarf, I love his pink
cheeks, I love the fringe that
you added to the bottom of his
scarf. In short, I'm in LOVE!

I have this chart in my stash.
    Ohhhhh boy! Will you be
    stitching the other two snow
    guys to keep Chilly company??

    Snowboobs. Snort, giggle,
    roll eyes, etc.

    The pin cushion that Patty
    stitched for you is beautiful.
    Love that red!! Which looks
    fabulous on the fabric that
she used. Where on earth do
    you buy walnut shells anyway?

If I break down and buy all
    the Christmas Rules charts
    and stuff I'll be blaming
    you Cathey. Yours is looking
    so incredibly beautiful with
    every block that you stitch.
Why do you have to be such a
    inspiring stitcher??

I'm so glad that you got such
    amazing, fun stash with the
    Secret Santa coupon. I can
    only say you're welcome and
    enjoy.

    I see that the irresistible
    and adored Cadbury Easter
    Creme eggs are once again
    tempting and tantalizing
    their way into your heart.
    Snack cakes hmmmmm. What
next? I love the little bunny.

    It's been snowing here again.
    Then it rained. Now we're
ankle deep in slush and mud
    while a thick fog coats
everything. I am so sick of
    grey, dreary, wet Winter.
Phil saw a Robin today. Hope
    he brought Spring with him.

    CHeers!
