AGAIN...but I'm making snow angels in silk ;o)
LOL! There you have it, my total winnings from Dinky Dyes :o) The package arrived yesterday but I never got it until close to 10 pm when DH got home from work. He just looked at me and said "There's $700 worth of silk in that padded envelope?" Yup, and it's all MINE >;o)
I still haven't had a chance to really go through it all. Don't worry though, I'll have to catalogue it so that will take me a day, or two, or three...
I had another parcel arrive yesterday as well and it was a complete surprise! This box full of goodies came from Donna (no Blog) -
It seems that my Mr. Potato Head family has just grown so I'll have to take a family picture soon ;o) DH was sulking until I told him The Musical Ride and Trees book were for him. That sure perked him up. Thank you SO much Donna! You spoiled us WAY more than you should have!
On Friday I received a package all the way from Russia! Tatyana and I did a small exchange and this is what she sent me -
I coveted the Blue Violets pattern that she stitched and was so pleased when she said she would send it to me :o) Look at the teeny tiny Lanarte kit! I've never seen one so small. LOL! Thank you Tatyana and I can't wait for our next exchange.
DH and I had a nice visit with my parents. Luckily we had a beautiful long weekend with them. On Saturday it got up to 15 C! We're talking the middle of November! We didn't do too much but Dad helped DH in the garage and I introduced Mom to a couple new computer games ;o) On Sunday morning we hit the beach in search of sea glass but it was tough going. The last storm pushed up the rock and made it a compacted wall. I came home with some good finds though.
It was sad to see them go on Monday morning :o( As long as the weather cooperates, we hope to see them after Christmas when we run up to see my Gram :o) Thank you for everything Mom and Dad! It was a delight having you. But remember, play nice or else I take the games back. LOL!

Tatyana
Congrats on those wonderful silks!!
ReplyDeleteCan I change my address to your? Honestly, Cathey--you get the most amazing things in the mail. I'm sure you're rolling around in your silks right at this very moment aren't you?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all of your goodies--you certainly deserve them :)
Wow...you DID have a good mail day! Look at all the floss!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNever having stitched with silk I wonder what fabric it goes best in. Can't wait to see what you do!

ReplyDeleteSuper parcels you've received
It really must be fun to get the mail at your house!
ReplyDeleteYou better take out an insurance policy on all that silk!
Super, super nice packages!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I don't know if I could ever use those silks. Knowing me, I would just fondle them every once in a while. You obviously have good karma in your mailbox - it's so awesome to see!
ReplyDeleteJEnn

ReplyDeleteI feel feint looking at that photo.
It's so.....................wonderful.

Awesome mail !
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely amazing mail haul, Cathey! Ever wonder what our post carriers think of all the exotic places we get/send mail to?
ReplyDeleteYour silks are really lovely. Have fun sorting them all out...that's my favorite part!
Wonderful mail. The silks are glorious.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathey,
ReplyDeleteNow that's one colorful snow
angel!! Oh my but all those
lovely silks in one place are
an incredible and beautiful
sight to see. Whenever you
need inspiration just pull
these babies out and go
through them and you'll soon
be rarin' to go with needle
and thread again.
Wow!! Look at all the wonderful
goodies that Donna sent you and
your DH. A little bit of every-
thing, it seems. There's some
cute stitching patterns there I
think.
And a parcel from Russia too!
The blue violets in the kit from
Marjolein Bastin are a beautiful
design and that little wee one
looks so cute too.
I'm glad to hear that you and
your parents had a great visit
and the weather co-operated.
We've had wonderful weather
here too although we didn't
get up to 15 Celsius like you
did. It's going to be a
heavy rain night here which
means a perfect night to sit
and stitch.
I think it's cute that your
Mom plays computer games.
Cheers!
What an amazing gift from Dinky Dyes - enjoy! And your other packages, well, you are blessed to have such kind friends. Have fun with everything!
ReplyDeleteThose silks are amazing! Have you even been able to take your hands off of them yet? Have fun with them!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Blank mind, I can't think of anything else... :P
ReplyDeleteAmazing gifts!! Lucky girl :)
ReplyDeleteI bet those threads will take many hours from you but you'll enjoy every second ;) heheheh
Wow| I wish those silks would have arrived before we left. You are going to have to buy more containers for all those.
ReplyDeleteWe did enjoy ourselves immensely visiting with you folks and want to thank you so very much for your hospitality. We are already looking forward to seeing you both soon.
I have only played that Mystery Game once and for only about 10 minutes since we got home. I have had too much to do with the wash and cleaning up of the house.
Love, Mom
wow! What wonderful surprises you have received!
ReplyDeleteI am so very happy for you :)
Have fun with your new stash, wishing you many blessings today,
Raggedystitches,
Louise xx
Isn't it during the quiet times like walking on the beach looking for sea glass that the most treasured memories form?
