Slow And Steady...

I don't know about steady but slow definitely describes how Sabrina is going. Sigh! I'm really enjoying stitching her though and this is where she is as of today -

I'm not sure if it looks like a lot of progress but there is some. Honest ;o)

DH and I are planning on getting a propane fireplace (fingers crossed) installed in the living room and I got to thinking... Right now Stargazer is upstairs in the extra bedroom. I wonder how it would look if I put Sabrina off to one side of the fireplace and Stargazer off to the other. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm SO excited because today I put the finishing touches on the free pattern that will be given out on Pumpkin Day!!!! I'm quite happy with it so I hope it looks as good when it's stitched up :o) I've also been collecting items for the giveaway. Only THREE more days to go...

  6. She's looking wonderful. WE have a ventless gas fireplace and I love it! I like in Alabama so our winters are not brutal like up north but I'm so cold natured, I just love it.
Can't wait for the giveaway :-)

  13. I have my own "Sabrina" which is in fact a model from Black Swan Designs, Dragon Heart, but in worse... it's between a WIP and a UFO, I started it years ago, and work on it a little bit some time each year... even if I wish I had already finished it, because it was supposed to be a Xmas present for DH, but as I say to him when he's whining I haven't finished it yet: I said Christmas, but I didn't say which year! lol

Don't worry, one day soon, you'll finish stitching you dear Sabrina ... ;)

  16. Sabrina is stunning! We have a propane fireplace in the living room & it makes the room feel & look warm & toasty. Like the boots you have on your Yahoo avatar. I see oodles of plp wearing them down here now. May have to get me a pair of those :)

  18. She's still beautiful - I SO admire your ability to persevere through such a project. My limit seems to be 5x7!
I think both "girls" will look GORGEOUS on either side of your fireplace so just go for it.
Have fun on Pumpkin Day! I'll try to pop in but the kids have a day off school so who knows if I'll be able too....

  21. I still find it amazing how long we can stitch and it doesn't look like we made much progress! Cross stitching really is a labor of love and your Sabrina is just lovely.

I'm sure you'll love your new fireplace, Cathey! Do you have one anywhere else?
