i have tears....i am so sorry for your loss...the loss of a pet is one of the greatest losses we can EVER face...sadly, i know this road all too well...but what helped me more than i could EVER imagined was the support and comfort from blog buddies...it got me through one of the MOST difficult times of my life...i never thought i would breathe again...but i did...

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It is so hard to lose a member of the family, even if it is ONLY a furbaby. Only, as if that makes it any easier. Grrrr... I've been told it is only a cat, but to me, it's like losing a child. I know you feel the same about Duncan. So you feel free to grieve, however you need to. And remember that you will see him again someday. And remember that he is not alone. He can run and play and visit with all the other animals that have predeceased him. Know that he is having fun, and still loves you as you still love him.

Oh Cathey, I'm so sad to read this. Duncan has had a great dog's life with you, and I think it's important that you remember how you've made him happy. He couldn't have had better masters. You know that I know how it feels. :( I just want to send you a big huge hug and tell you that time will help. But you do know that too. I love imagining Brie and Duncan over Rainbow Bridge, all young and painfree and happy to be reunited.
Dad and I were so surprised to hear about Duncan. He was a sweetie and I am sure he is now taking good care of Brie in Pet Heaven. We sure will miss him and we still miss Brie too.
