Christmas Rules SAL

It has begun! Of course I procrastinated and waited until the end of the month. Nia and I are stitching this together and will be doing one block per month. The only exception is the month of January where we need to stitch the header along with the first block. I won't lie, I was worried...but last night I put the final stitches in that header and now it's DONE!

I love the colors. I splurged and went with the hand dyed fibers :o) I'm stitching mine on 32 count Light Mocha linen. This afternoon I put a good start on block one so I'm really happy and I know I can make my deadline. Phew!

It was an awesome mail day today because I got my order from 123 Stitch -

My dear friend Karen bought me a gift certificate from there for Christmas :o) I've always wanted Lady Of The Mist by Mirabilia so it was excellent timing. Of course the beads jumped in there as well. LOL! Now I'll have to decide what color fabric to stitch her on. Don't get too excited because she won't be started anytime soon! Thank you again Karen :o)

I am SO pumped! Today was my third week of aerobics and I actually feel like I have more energy. Not to mention the fact that I AM getting more coordinated ;o) No, I won't be on Dancing With The Stars in the near future but at least my body is figuring out that my arms and legs CAN do separate things at the same time. LOL! Who would have thunk?

The Mirabilia design is so pretty. Great way to use your GC. And 123 is just the quickest!

I knew it was just a question of sticking with the program. Congrats on becoming a jock!

The Mirabilia design is very pretty...but, that's alot of beadwork...good luck with it though.

  6. Great job on" Rules". That will be a great Christmas piece to enjoy every year.
Way to go on the aerobics! I would like to take a Dumbs class if I could find the time. I am a bit worried about the grace and coordination aspects though. But, I am proud of YOU!

  8. What a fun SAL with Nia, Cathey... I'm sure you'll be able to meet your one block per month deadline...

Pretty new chart (is Sabrina going to be jealous?). And I'm glad you're enjoying the exercise class--it really does give you more energy and is wonderful for relieving stress, isn't it?

  12. Hi Cathey,

I love your progress so far on
    Christmas Rules. The threads
    look fabulous on the fabric
you're stitching it on and the
colors are so lovely. But of
course you can't beat a Lizzie
    Kate design for bright, cheery
    colors.

My stitching buddy Jennifer (Seasonal Stitches) is stitching this one too and now seeing yours has me wanting to stitch it as
    well. Sigh!!

    I don't remember ever seeing
Lady of the Mist before. She
    is gorgeous!! Oh do hurry
and stitch her soon ... no
    pressure here ... because I
want to be able to see her
    come to life under your
    skilled hands. How can you
    resist??

I'm so glad that you're really
    enjoying your aerobics class
and are finding it easier to
    coordinate your movements.
    I guess practice really does
    make perfect huh?

I was so sorry to read about
    the very hard decision that
    you had to make regarding
Popcorn but I think that you
were very wise to do what you
    did. Sometimes things just
don't work out as you'd hope
and it's better for all if
    Popcorn is given the chance
to find a suitable home for
    her personality.

When the time comes and you're
    ready I'm sure you'll find a
bunny that will fit right in
and give you all the love and
    affection that it can, which
I know you will return ten fold.

    Hugs!!

  15. It looks so pretty!! :D I'm almost there!!!! LOL
I'm also loving the linen color, as you know it's the first time I have light mocha in my hand :) I'm loving it!!

Did you stitch the snow dots? It looks like white beads! :)

Last night I had to go to bed and leave my goal one 'S' behind :p But I'm getting there ;)

That Mirabilia design is so beautiful!!! I wish I could stitch some big design like that, one beautiful fairy =) But it takes too loooooooong.. I don't know if I could start and not finish it, it would take me months stitching the same thing..
Does it taking ALL those beads? wooww.. You're brave ;)

PS: I'll post my wip soon ;)
